It’s now the 3rd week in May, and we are seeing more re-opening activities coming from closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ashtabula County Board of Commissioners continues to provide this brief, informational overview every Friday during the course of this pandemic. This briefing is intended to share local information with Ashtabula County residents. 

The Board of Commissioners is comprised of: Casey Kozlowski, Kathryn Whittington, and J. P. Ducro IV. We are here to act, listen and offer our support during these challenging times. We are in this together and must act as a team to be effective in this fight. We would like to thank each and every one of you for your dedication, diligence and cooperation during this pandemic. A special thank you goes out to all of the local governments and agencies that have partnered with us so well, helping to protect our community and keep our residents safe.

The Ashtabula County Health Department continues to serve as the lead agency in educating the community, providing healthcare recommendations and working with healthcare facilities. The Ashtabula County Emergency Management Agency supports the Health Department’s ongoing response and community awareness efforts.

County government continues to provide essential services, while adhering to social distancing, disinfectant precautions and proper hand hygiene. As many county offices are limiting interaction with the public, you will want to contact your local county government offices before stopping in.
